CRAB FESTIVAL ART SHOW

Kodiak Arts Council and The Frame Shop invite Kodiak artists to submit new original creative work to be included in the 25th annual Crab Fest Art Show, an official event of Kodiak Crab Festival, on exhibit May 23 to 25, 2025, with a opening reception the evening of Friday, May 23. The Art Show will be staged at the Kodiak Harbormaster building in downtown Kodiak. A virtual companion exhibit will be built online to reach a broad audience and provide viewing access from home. We are accepting all contemporary and fine art genre submissions from Kodiak artists completed within the past three years and not previously exhibited at the Crab Festival Art Show. Artwork that can be strongly identified, defined, or perceived as belonging to a distinct culture or cultural tradition must be made by an artist that belongs or identifies as belonging to that culture. The Kodiak Arts Council may ask for clarification to ensure work is not appropriated.

Special thanks to Kodiak artist Marina Thomas for creating the artwork representing the 2025 Crab Fest Art Show.
