Sum' Arts for Kids, held annually from June to August, provides quality and affordable arts instruction to youth. For more than three decades, the program has engaged local teaching artists to work with Kodiak kids in theatre, music, dance, and the visual arts.

In 2018, the program included 32 class offerings with more than 260 young people enrolled. Complete details of the 2019 program, and online registration, will be available in the spring of each year. Financial aid scholarships are available with early registration.

The Kodiak Island Borough School District, our long standing partner in this program, provides facilities for classes, and works with the Arts Council to offer professional development opportunities for teaching artists through the year.
