Sum' Arts for Kids, held annually from June to August, provides quality and affordable arts instruction to youth. For more than three decades, the program has engaged local teaching artists to work with Kodiak kids in theatre, music, dance, and the literary & visual arts.

The 2019 program includes 21 class offerings in the visual arts, dance, theatre, and literary arts. Students are eligible to enroll in their rising grade (the grade they will enter in the fall of 2019).

The Kodiak Island Borough School District, our long standing partner in this program, provides facilities for classes, and works with the Arts Council to offer professional development opportunities for teaching artists through the year.
