Botanical Illustration with Kristin Link
Saturday, March 20, 2021
2 pm via Zoom
Let’s celebrate some colorful Alaskan flowers in the middle of March! In this workshop, we will work from sketchbook to final watercolor page with the beautiful botanical subject matter. We’ll cover different plant forms and botany, sketching leaves, flowers, and seed pods. We will also explore color mixing, rendering different textures, and how to build up transparent layers with watercolor and pencil. Students will gain a foundation for learning about Alaska's flowers and how to capture them with watercolor.
All levels welcome and all supplies provided.
This is a virtual class that will be conducted in a small group over Zoom. Open to adult artists ages 16 and up.
The supplies pick-up date for this class will be Thursday, March 18 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Gerald C. Wilson Auditorium.
