Arts Education

Kodiak Arts Council's Arts Education program takes a mulifaceted approach to increase student access to the arts. We collaborate with the Kodiak Island School District for the Artist In School Program, provide no-cost workshops and/or school concerts with visiting performing artists, have a lending program of Arts Ed boxes, and maintain a teaching artist roster.

In December 2025, the Kodiak Arts Council wrapped up the Munartet Project, a strategic partnership between KAC, KIBSD, Kodiak College, and the Alutiiq Museum to increase the number and tenure of confident, competent K-12 teachers in Alaska in using arts and culture integration as an approach to teaching and learning.
