Kodiak Arts Council
The Kodiak Arts Council offers Artist Awards every year to further individual growth in the arts. Award funds can be used to support a variety of artistic pursuits, including but not limited to: attending workshops or classes, purchasing materials or supplies to begin, advance, or complete work, supporting expenses related to arts business development (marketing, online media, exhibition support materials).

The Awards Committee will review the applications and select awardees. Decisions will be based on completeness of application, quality of artistic work within the context of the applicant's experience and career stage, impact of the award on the applicant's artistic growth, and intended benefit for the Kodiak community.
The Awards Committee will make six (6) awards in the amount of $250 each to six (6) artists. One (1) Ginny Shank Dance Scholarship award will be made in the amount of $500.
Artists of all ages working in all artistic disciplines are encouraged to apply. Eligible disciplines include, but are not limited to: dance, theatre, visual arts, music, storytelling, cultural practices, digital art, fiber arts.
Applications must be received by 4:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2021. Applications may be submitted in hard copy in person at the Arts Council office or via email as a Word or PDF file to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please use Arts Award Application in the subject line for emails.
Artists will be selected and contacted by Friday, April 16, 2021.
