Join us at the Kodiak Arts Council for our final show of the ‘23-’24 Performing Arts Season with Scottish Contemporary Folk Band, Breabach, on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 at 7:00 PM in the Gerald C. Wilson Auditorium!
 

Established as one of Scotland's premier contemporary folk ensembles, Breabach smoothly blends their rich Highland and Island heritage with the vibrant musical landscape of Glasgow. With six critically acclaimed albums under their belt, they continuously push boundaries.

Breabach radiates fiery intensity with exquisite finesse (The Scotsman) with awards to prove their successes throughout the years. They’ve garnered an impressive collection of honors, including sex ‘Scots Trad Music Awards’, nominations for ‘Best Group’ (BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards), ‘European Album of the Year’ (Songlines Music Awards), and the ‘Quarterly Critic’s Choice’ (German Record Critic’s Award 2023).

Breabach comprises Megan Henderson (Fiddle, Vocals, Step Dance), James Lindsay (Double Bass, Vocals), Calum MacCrimmon (Bagpipes, Whistle, Bouzouki, Vocals). Conal McDonagh, (Bagpipes, Whistle, Vocals), and Ewan Robertson (Guitar, Vocals, Cajon).

Their commitment to honor their musical heritage while embracing innovation and evolution emphasizes their principle, a constant thread woven through their 18 year journey. Tickets are $32 for Adults, $29 for Seniors (60+) and $24 for Youth. Prices are inclusive of ticketing fees.
