It Happens Every Summer, a madcap romantic comedy by Brian Rogers, featured a fun (and funny!) ensemble performance with 30 actors bringing to life a wide variety of colorful characters in the high-fashion magazine world of 1960s Manhattan. A comedy version of Mad Men meets The Devil Wears Prada.

Every June, the editor-in-chief of Debutante magazine and her staff welcome the prize winners of the guest editor contest from colleges all over the country. This year, they find the young women wackier and more wonderful than ever. They include Jennifer, deeply anxious to prove herself and be retained on the regular staff; Flippy, a chic girl who finds New York "luxury-ish"; Annabelle, the Southern belle with expert charm; and MK, the writer who is determined to have her avant-garde novel published.

This production was made possible through support from the Kodiak Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Alaska Community Foundation, and from the City of Kodiak.
